Dave - What did it mean for you & your team to win?

We are immensely proud of being awarded the title of 'Business of the Year' for 2018, an accolade we had the privilege of winning previously in 2016. Winning this prestigious award last June was a tremendous boost to our employee engagement strategy as it provided our staff with graphic proof that the role they have played in the success of the business, has been recognised both internally and externally.

What was the response of your customers and suppliers to your win?

We published a website feature and produced a press release on our success. We received a number of congratulatory messages and it is clear that winning the top accolade at the Bexley Awards has gone a long way in enhancing our reputation amongst our clients, suppliers and partners.

Have you used the win in the promotion your company?

We have widely used the award ident across our various social media platforms and we have incorporated it into our stadium LED screen and match programme adverts at Charlton Athletic FC, who we sponsor, for the 2018/19 football season. We also wrote personal letters of congratulation to all the category winners at this year's Bexley Awards.

Has winning the award been good for business?

Whilst we can't point to specific business we have gained as a direct result of winning this award, it is clear that the profile we received and the kudos we gained from winning the 'Business of the Year' title has played an important part in enhancing our brand awareness within the Bexley Borough and beyond.

Will you be entering the 2019 awards?

We will definitely be supporting the 2019 awards programme.

Why should people enter the 2019 Awards?

If you have thought about entering the 2019 awards, just go for it, do not let the entry application put you off. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day but completing your entry gives you the time to reflect and truly recognise what your business has achieved. The events that surround the awards have also proved fantastic for staff moral – not only for those attending but for those that know they have contributed. In addition, the ongoing support from Bexley Business has been great, we have developed some strong relationships that have helped us in many areas of our business.

Has winning the award been good for business?

We use the award in our website page and face book but apart from that and the certificate on the wall we have not probably realised the potential on how to use it

I’d like to try for another award that represents the team and customers more. There is no ‘I’ in team.
