Please email your comments by Tuesday 2 January 2018 to firstname.lastname@example.org, who is developing the strategy on behalf of Local London, .
The Local London Partnership was established in early 2016. It comprises eight east London Boroughs, including Bexley, who work together to deliver growth and opportunities for devolution.
Local London’s work involves the boroughs developing a skills and employment strategy for the area and setting up a Local London Skills and Employment Board with employers and other key stakeholders. The aim is to steer and influence investment in skills and training by the Government and the Greater London Authority in the eight boroughs, to better meet the needs of local employers and residents.
The eight boroughs are developing a joint approach to tackling the challenges and opportunities of delivering plans for substantial housing, employment and economic growth in east London, which is expected to account for one third of London’s population growth over the coming decades.
Local London is focusing on initiatives and programmes to ensure that this growth takes place in a sustainable way, that the underpinning physical and social infrastructure is in place and that growth results in increased prosperity for the residents of east London.
